Warehouse System Specialist (901844)
About Us
Quality and freshness don’t come easy, which is why we have a fantastic group of people working around the clock at Woolworths Distribution Centres to tackle the mind-boggling logistical challenge of coordinating supplies from the farm-gate to supermarket shelves across the state.
Our Distribution Centres are also a critical control point in checking the quality of fresh food and placing it in the optimal conditions to protect its flavour, freshness and texture. Alongside the top service we provide to our supermarkets, we also have super performance in our Distribution Network which distributes stock for many of our other brands such as BWS, Dan Murphy’s, Big W, to mention just a few.
About the role
This is your chance to contribute to changing the face of Woolworths Groups' Supply Chain as we implement a world-leading Warehouse and Transport Management Systems landscape within our distribution network.
We’ll help you develop a deep knowledge of the new WMS and TMS to become one of our specialist ‘Go To’ people for the new systems. In return, your role will be to support the implementation of our new WMS and TMS at our various Distribution Centres (‘DC’s’) across Australia and New Zealand.
Once we’ve got you up to speed, you’ll be responsible for:
- Travelling to our various DC’s across Australia and New Zealand to support the solution implementations
- Helping us ensure a DC and their team are ready for ‘Go Live’ with the new systems at their site
- Facilitating User Acceptance Testing of the new functionality to help us ensure a smooth implementation into the DC’s operations
- Helping us develop ‘Super Users’ at the various DC’s so that the sites can become self-sufficient
- Training and continuously supporting the new users who will eventually own/use/run the systems
- Help us ensure the systems continue to run as intended by troubleshooting and resolving issues
- Initial 12 month contract or secondment opportunity, with the possibility for extension

We'd like to hear from you if you have an operational or systems background, are a keen troubleshooter with a "can-do" attitude, great with people, and you thrive on being part of a high performing team.
You’ll need to be a team player with an ability to travel extensively across Australia and New Zealand, have an interest in developing your expertise within TMS and WMS, as well as having a passion for helping people understand the system.
